In her presentation entitled “Split Notary Office in the 15th Century: Paleographic and Diplomatic Analysis of Notarial Documents,” Assoc. Prof. Toni Andrić, PhD, presented the current findings regarding the organization and functioning of the Split notarial chancery in the fifteenth century. Through selected case studies, she demonstrated the paleographic features and diplomatic structure of the documents issued by this office. Further research within the framework of the MEDHRID project will encompass the entire preserved corpus of fifteenth-century Split notarial records as a fundamental source for drawing conclusions about everyday life and material culture in the Middle Ages. Assoc. Prof. Andrić also participated in the concluding discussion, which addressed the use of contemporary information technologies in archival research.
