While comparative studies of children\u2019s literature\u2014and the concept of space within it\u2014are not new in Croatia, there has been little focus on authors from the Dalmatian\/Mediterranean circle. Using comparative methods and the innovative application of poststructuralist theories, including feminist criticism, ecocriticism, and cultural and literary geography, the study will examine both canonical and non-canonical authors, with particular emphasis on Dalmatian and regional literature.
